Housed in a landmark industrial building on the south bank of the River Tyne inGateshead, BALTIC is a major international centre for contemporary art.

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Director to take a leading role in the direction of BALTIC’s strategic development through external relations, commercial and trading activities, development and communications in order to support the organisation’s vision and objectives.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of recent and substantial success in a senior role at a major organisation along with demonstrable experience of conceiving, leading and implementing the most progressive strategies.  A commercial awareness and the ability to demonstrate a creative approach to organisational development are essential.
