The Barbican Centre and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama have a part time internship available to start in May 2012. The internship will enable you to gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to exciting projects and learning from experienced HR professionals. This internship is an ideal opportunity for someone with aspirations to build a career in HR & Recruitment. As with any internship, there is a mixture of duties, including some admin tasks as well as the opportunity to work on specialist HR projects during your internship in a busy HR department.

Recent graduates or students studying towards their CIPD qualification or particular interest in the Human Resources/Recruitment would gain the most from these opportunities. Interns from other routes will also be considered. The ideal candidate should be proactive and confident using Outlook, Word and Excel, have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and a genuine interest in pursuing their careers in HR or Recruitment.  

To get the best experience from a placement, we recommend that interns are in the department a minimum of 2 days a week during the core hours of 09:00 to 17:00 for a period of three month, but we offer as much flexibility as we can.  Please note this internship is unpaid, but basic travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.

Candidates should ideally be available to start the internship on the 21^st May 2012.
