Applications are sought for the part-time role of Artistic Director to take responsibility for the artistic vision and standards of the Opera Company, and the long term planning and programming of each season.

The Artistic Director will work in partnership with the Executive Director, and in close collaboration with the Director of Opera Planning. He/she is expected to be the public face of Garsington Opera and to have a strong presence throughout the season that runs from June - July.

Garsington Opera runs for a short summer season and produces opera of the highest professional quality in a setting of extraordinary beauty at Wormsley, in the Chiltern Hills, where it moved to last year. It has championed rarely performed works of artistic interest and high musical quality as well as mounting productions of the core repertory.
