The BBC has announced that the show's 10th series, starting next month, will be its last, though it seems the decision to pull the plug was taken by production company Kudos rather than by the Corporation.

Good! I always thought it was rubbish and an expensive waste of BBC money.

What! Spooks has always been throughly entertaining TV. Tom Quinn and Adam Carter made the show, and despite dull Richard Armitage it's still been gripping. A shame to see it go but probably good to finish on a high.

One thing Richard Armitage never is, is dull.
