Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company, Classic Cut (premiere), Linb ury Studio Theatre, Royal Opera House, 13 to 17 March Touring until 27 M arch 2012   Shobana Jeyasingh company’s 25th anniversary marked by a doub le bill of a 1988 work, Configurations, created with composer Michael Nym an and now re-imagined and updated, and a new work with a commissioned sco re by record producer and composer Niraj Chag. The original Configuratio ns was widely celebrated for its bravura use of speed and stunning detail. Nyman's music for Configurations became his acclaimed String Quartet No. 2 and will be played live on stage, and there are new designs by Lucy Carter(lighting) and Ursula Bombshell (costume).  In the new work Jeyasingh t urns for the first time to the dramatic genre of classical Indian dance, p laying with ideas of character and story telling.
